I was jumping around online reading blogs and came across the Artful Delight Birthday Blog Hop Celebration. There were 3 challenges on there and they just called to me so I sat down and here is what I came up with for them.
The first one is a card I made that was for the challenge #3. The challenge was to use Kraft, Pink and White. I really love this simple card I made. This is totally the style of card I enjoy. Just really clean and simple. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies. I punched out two for each butterfly. One I adherred flat and then I folded up the wings on the second one before gluing it to the top of the first one. I love the dimension that adds.
The second one is a layout I made for the sketch challenge #1. I'm really happy with this one too. I am entering it over at Frosted Design also in their challenge to use "ransom note lettering". I used paper from the Twitterpated Collection from Pebbles. I fussy cut the 3 layers of the flower out of one of the pieces of patterned paper and then used my stylus to emboss them and give them dimension. Can you tell I am all about dimension!! LOL The chipboard butterfly is from the Togetherness collection from Cosmo Cricket.
My third project is a card I made for the tic tac toe challenge #2. I used the left top-(make a card), middle-(include at least one button) and right bottom-(use a border punch) squares for my card. I used a Martha Stewart border punch and did alternating layers to give the card a feel of snow flakes. I pulled this cute card stock sentiment from my stash and added some ribbon and three buttons.
I really enjoyed doing these challenges.
I am in a scrappy mood today too so who know what I will come up with next! lol
The Sketch-a-thon ended at Sketches4all. I drew two winner from my challenge. They were GinniG and Denise. Congrats to both of these girls for winning my challenge. I loved seeing all the great projects that were entered. The Queen of the Crop was Jose. Second place went to Kimberly and the 3rd place winner was GinniG. I had a blast doing all 15 of the challenges! I hope that all of the new folks will be hanging round and entering in on the Big October Contest coming up that is sponsored by Regina at The Cutting Cafe. You rock Regina!!! I just adore the Cutting Cafe!!!!
You need to go check out the Crafter's Companion blog tomorrow...they have a little announcement. You would really be interested in reading it... Just saying....
