The Sketch-a-thon is still going on over at Sketches4all. A sketch a day will be posted for about 2 weeks. Here is my take on the pre-sketch a thon challenge that Michelle offered. She used a lovely Liz Qualman sketch for inspiration. I kind of used it loosely. I used some paper from K & Co. I fussy cut out that swirl and those leaves and then embossed them for dimension. I cut up a sheet of Graphic 45 for the A,B, C's and the tags.
My sketch challenge posted yesterday and you have until the 25th of September to get it done. GO check it out!!
I love being inspired by sketches. Do you?? What is your most often used starting point for doing a layout? Sketches tend to be my first starting place, photos second and a fun new technique third. What about you?? SHARE!
This will be short because I am off to Oakland, CA to visit my girlfriends and have book club. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
hallo stacy

This is really beautiful! Love the leaves!
ReplyDeleteLove the design on this, and the great papers and colors. I don't scrapbook, I'm not sure why I don't. I feel like I am already 10 years behind! I always thought I would just scrap my girls when they grow up and leave me. Then I can go thru the photos and while crying and remembering the good times I would scrap them then... Maybe!
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your mini getaway!
