Spring in Bloom

Hi everyone!!  I'm so happy that I got to post a second time this month on Scrap Our Stash! I just love the open idea of a Spring Fling challenge. I decided to work outside of my personal box this time by doing a layout with photos of only flowers. I never do a layout without a photo of a person but I live in Las Vegas and spring arrived here a while ago. In fact, we are working our way into summer already. Everything is blooming. I know when you think of Vegas you don't think of blooming flowers but we do have them!! LOL
I can't seem to help myself from taking photos of blooming flowers even though I know I never do anything with them. Well, this time I decided to dedicate a layout to flowers blooming in spring.
I started with some gorgeous patterned paper from My Mind's Eye - Miss Caroline collection. YUMMY!! It just screams spring doesn't it?!

The sketch is one of the sketches we are working with in the 28 Days of Sketches class I'm taking online at BigPictureClasses. I love starting with a sketch because it just seems to get my creativity off and running. How about you?? Do you use sketches for inspiration?

I finished up my layout with some flowers and bling from my stash. I just love those pearls on a roll from Recollections I bought last week for 40% off at Michael's!! Since they were so cheap I decided to be extravagant with them on here. ha

I hope you enjoy my layout. Thanks so much for stopping by and looking!

  1. How cute! I've been wanting to make a LO about the flowers in our garden! Thanks for the inspiration ;)

  2. Hi Stacy, so glad spring is coming. I'm really looking forward to a proper summer. Last year we seem to have skipped summer and it turned from srping straight to autumn :-( Hope this year will bring us some sun. Hugs, Frea

  3. Beautiful LO!! Pretty MME paper!
We have those same flowers here I love seeing them bloom too!
IKWYM we are in Summer already here too!

  4. Such a wonderful layout! Love the colours and the pearl embellishments, TFS!
    xxxhugs, Jenn

  5. Love it! the Miss Caroline line is perfect for pics of spring flowers, I agree with you there! Those are gorgeous flowers, too :) (And no, I don't think of flowers when I think of Vegas LOL!!)

I had a blast this weekend, met so many great people and got my business card into a few hands...not to mention hit up the washi tape booth the last day and got a discount for being a vendor :) That was the best!! (I also scored the new BG PB&J line kit for a steal of ten bucks!) I was amazed at how well the markers were selling :) Everyone loves Spectrum Noir!

Hope you have a great weekend!!

    1. I mean last weekend's been a long, rainy week here!!

  6. It's hard to scrap a page w/o people in it! Yours is wonderful and the flowers are gorgeous. You are right, the Miss Caroline is perfect for it.
