Just 4 EWE!

Hi Guys,
Well, how did your weekend turn out??  If you celebrate Easter, did you have a good Easter??
We certainly did.  The kids were thrilled with their baskets from the Easter Bunny, they had fun coloring 10 dozen eggs and then hunting them in our backyard.  Next they actually swam in our pool (!) for about 2 hours!  I guess it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be.  Then we finished up the day with a nice Easter dinner of ham and all the fixings.  YUM!
The kids all went back to school yesterday after our nice Spring Break vacation.  Then my poor daughter (the older one) came home from school feeling terrible so I called the doctor.  We rushed over and than sat and waited about 2 hours (!).  She has an infection in her throat and we got her on some antibiotics.  Poor baby.

My hubby had to go out of town for work today and my mother who has been visiting is leaving us tomorrow.  Then it will just be me with the kiddies.

And if rains it pours so of course our bus driver has also left to have surgery and they don't have a new one yet so we have to deal with late/clueless substitutes. (the one this morning showed up exactly at the time that the children were supposed to be in their classrooms at school)  And Friday is "Parent Involvement" Day for my two younger kids which means no school for them.  And my son has 2 lacrosse games this week.  And my sick daughter has after school activities scheduled all week. etc. etc. etc.  Just the normal craziness!! LOL

Okay enough about me...well sort of...(ha)

I wanted to show you a gift box I made using the new Sheena Douglas -Just 4 You stamp set.

I started out by pulling out my Crafter's Companion Ultimate Tool. I use my Ultimate Tool every time I scrap. It is a really essential tool in my scrappy arsenal.  And I hear they might be giving one away EVERY DAY in May over on the Crafter's Companion Informational blog!!!  (US Residents only) (stay tuned for more information)

The Ultimate Tool comes with a informational booklet and a DVD that takes you thought using your Ultimate Tool step by step. The instructions are easy to follow and fun to do. After making my box and lid. I stamped out the image in blue. Next to make the one Ewe stand out I stamped out my image again but this time I stamped it in green to match my papers. I fussy cut the head of the specific Ewe I wanted to focus on and then used double sided adhesive foam to lift the green Ewe head and add some dimension.

I layered some papers from my stash and then added some flowers to the corners. What do you think?  (honestly it is not my favorite project I have made but it is definitely cuter in person)
So super quick and easy!! I plan to fill the box with some goodies for my friend's birthday which is coming up soon. I think she will get a laugh from the fun image.

Crafter's Companion USA Challenge Blog has a new challenge for April - MOTHER'S DAY.  This is loosely defined as a challenge to celebrate the women in your life.  So you can make projects using a Crafter's Companion stamp for any of your female relatives. (i.e. mother, sister, grandmother, godmother etc)   I can't wait to see what projects you come up with this month!!!  Go check out all the yummy Beatrix Potter goodies you could possibly win!!)

AND don't forget this weeks stamp set giveaway over there going on right now.  You have until Thursday, April 12th to enter to try to win by leaving a comment and becoming a follower.  This week we are giving away the new Sheena A Little Bit Different - Oh Duck stamp set.  Go HERE to enter to win
I think this stamp set is my favorite of this collection so far!  I think it is pretty hysterical. haha

  4. Wish I could have been with you to dye all of those eggs! We were lucky in that our youngest nephews came over to our house to dye some eggs! Otherwise, we had a pretty quiet Easter. I made goldenrod eggs tonight with some of the hardboiled eggs-that is a family tradition on my side of the family which we usually do on Easter Sunday... :-) your ewe box is cute!!!

  5. Sounds like a great Easter. I was in a very un-hammy mood this year so I made teriyaki. I'm a sucker for all things sheep and lambs thanks to my sister so I love that design. Hope your little one gets feeling better!
