LOL) and check out her blog and the awesome giveaway!!  Giveaways Galore!
Here is Frea's Giveaway!!

I just got back from my dear daughter's school.  Her class has been studying famous people in Nevada history.  They each had to pick a famous Nevadan and do a report, make a board and then they had a Wax Museum where they dress up as their famous person.  That museum was this morning.  It was so cute!  My daughter was Valerie P. Cooke (a judge).

They had to stay very still until someone pushed their "button" and then they would give a little speech about their person.  My poor daughter was on the end and pretty much everyone either started with her or ended with her.  She was talking the whole time!! LOL

I really have to share one of the funniest things I have seen lately.  One of the girls down a bit from my daughter was portraying Maude Frazier.  And these are the photos she had on her board....

LMBO!  She used photos of the character, "Maude" from The Golden Girls and the Maude show!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a close up.

There were a couple of other "missteps" but this was the most hilarious one!  No one said anything to her at all.  They just praised her, which I loved!!

I made a card yesterday for my Sketches4All card challenge.  My challenge was to use a lovely Pagemap's sketch.

Here is the Pagemaps sketch I chose.

Here is what I came up with as my example.

I used some Bo Bunny-  papers and embellies.  I pulled some bakers twine and Diamond Stickles from my stash.  Sorry the photo is a bit crooked.  I took the photo outside and it was really sunny and I had to take the photo from the side because I kept getting my shadow on the card!

Here is it laying down open.  You know how addicted I am to making easel cards! LOL

I am going to enter it:

Just Keep On Creating - Anything Goes
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
Creative Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
Deep Ocean Challenge Blog - What a Wonderful Woman

I wanted to brag a little.  (a very little)  My blog is being featured as an Editor's Pick right now at PocketChange Lifestyle blog!!!  It is a really cool site that I was recently introduced to.  They have a great Tip Center that is full of tips for all areas of your life.  FUN!!  You should go check it out!!

My friend, Raquel, is married to Eddie Levert from the musical group the O"Jays.  Eddie has a new solo R&B album out right now that is wonderful!!  The album is called Eddie Levert - I Still Have It. It is for sale on amazon and at itunes if you are interested.  You should go check it out!!!  It is great!!

What else is there to share with you today??  That is probably enough for one day....  If I think of anything else I guess I can always post again today!  lol

Mother May I?

Hello everyone!!  I'm here to share my "May I" project from Scrap our Stash with you today. As soon as I heard of this challenge I immediately knew who I was going to be inspired by because I am inspired by her everyday. Denise at Lala's World Blog is one of the most exciting, inspirational scrappers I know.   (and my bff!) She actually is the person who introduced me to scrapping. I can't believe that 2 years ago I had never scrapped!! And now it is such a big part of my life.

For this challenge I went to Lala's World and when I scrolled down I found the perfect layout to scraplift. I really just loved the use of circles and the soft feel of her work. And it doesn't hurt that Denise and I are in the photo!! LOL

I decided to make a layout using a photo of my daughter. We adopted her from China and the photo is from the time while we were waiting...us in the US....her in China.
Layout made by Stacy at Scrap with Stacy (with a little help from my dd in the photo)

As you can tell I used the same basic layout as Denise but I did change a few things. I used a ton of flowers from my stash. I am laughing because I just realized that my daughter added that pink flower bling to the middle of the center circle. I guess she didn't think I was quite finished!! LOL She is 4 years old now and really into bling. She told me multiple times that she loved my paper (meaning she loves my layout). I'm glad she likes it since it is for her book.

Here is a photo of her from her brother's birthday party this last weekend

I hope you are inspired to join in on this challenge and I hope you pop over and check out all the great projects that Denise has on her blog. You won't be sorry you did!!

And if you stopped by to see who won last week's Customer Appreciation giveaway just scroll down.  And don't forget to join in on this week's giveaway while you are here!!

I'm a Lucky Mom

Sorry to have been MIA this past week.  Sometimes you just need a break.  And this week was my blog break week.  But a week away brings me back refreshed and ready to go so here is what I have to share with you today.  I made a layout for Sketches4all.  They are starting a Mother's Day Sketch Challenge today and here is my example layout.

I used papers from Echo Park-For the Record and Little Yellow Bicycle-Elizabeth Park.  I pulled a white flower from my stash and sprayed the heck out of it with Tutti Fruiti Glimmer Mist.  I used my We R Memory Keepers Sew Ribbon-weave punch to sew ribbon on my project.  I pulled bling, a button, decorate pins, and the vellum quote from my stash.  I attached the vellum to card stock with some brads from my brad box.  There are all sorts of random things in that box!! LOL  I also used a Martha Stewart edge punch that I got from my mom the last she came to visit.

I decided to use a photo of me and my kids since I rarely ever scrap myself.  I do feel I am a Lucky Mom!!  Hope you like the layout.

We had a fun and busy weekend.  We started off Saturday at a lacrosse game like usual.  We lost but they had fun and played hard so all's good.  Only one more game!!  (I think)  As we were driving home from lacrosse the kids and I noticed a ton of garage sale signs.  So we rushed home, changed clothes and went back out to hunt for sales!! ha  We ended up with a lot of fun random stuff.

In the middle of our hunt we stopped shopping to take my oldest daughter to a birthday party.  After that it was back home to prepare for my oldest son's 12th birthday party.  Lucky for me my hubby made his cake and decorated while I was gone!   Came home and wrapped presents and got dinner ready to go.  Went back to get dd from the birthday party.  We had dinner, cake and ice cream and then the birthday boy opened his presents.

He specifically asked for a riding toy called a Green Machine.  I hadn't heard of it before but one of the neighbor kids has one and he LOVES it.  So I found one online and got it for him.  Here's a photo of his face when he saw it for the first time!!  He was very happy and excited.  Now I just have to put the thing together!! Oh dear....lol

Sunday I filled the birthday boy's request to go see The Avengers.  I took the 3 older kids and we went to see this movie.  It was great!  There were some really funny parts that still make me smile when I think of them.  I recommend you go see it!!  Going to the movie too most of the day.  We got home around 4:30pm.

I was all set to scrap when I remembered that my dear daughter had a major school project due today!!!   And she hadn't even started it!!!  SOOOO she and I worked on her Famous Nevadan project for the rest of the evening.  It took until 8:30pm to finish it up but it was finally completed and turned out really well.  She has been practicing her speech to go with the board she made.  They are having a "wax museum" on Thursday where they will portray their famous Nevadan.   She is portraying a judge and we bought her a suit at the thrift store that I need to alter a bit to fit her.  Keep your eye out for photos from this event later this week.

Tomorrow the winner will be chosen for my weekly giveaway for Crafter's Companion of the Ultimate Tool.  I will post the winner on Wednesday, May 9th.  So check back to see if you've won.'

I will post a NEW GIVEAWAY tomorrow so come back and check it out!!  You will also want to visit the Crafter's Companion info and challenge blogs and all of our Design Team.  There are so many opportunities to win!!!  Don't miss out on any of them!!  (Giveaways are open to US Residents only)

Now I want to show you a project I made using a stamp from the super sweet new collection from the Humphrey's Corner stamp line.

I LOVE Humphrey and his siblings!! These stamps just call to my heart. I was so excited when I heard there was a new collection coming out. This collection is called A Year With Humphrey. There are 12 gorgeous new stamps for us to enjoy!!! WOO HOO!! lol
I decided to start with Girl Talk. This is really just the cutest stamp ever!! I love how girlie it is. I stamped out the image onto Ultra Smooth Premium White Card stock for Alcohol Markers. This really is the best paper to use with our Spectrum Noir markers. And of course I colored my image with my Spectrum Noir markers!! And why wouldn't I? They are the best alcohol ink markers for the price!! And they color beautifully!!!

I also wanted to paper piece the dresses. I just love the added bit of texture and dimension it gives to my project. So I stamped out the image twice more onto two different pieces of patterned paper. And then I fussy cut out the the dresses. I glued them down onto my colored image and then cut out the image with some dies on my Cuttlebug. I layered matching patterned paper and card stock to make up my card.

I found the perfect bit of ribbon in that Mystery box of goodies I bought from Maya Road a while back. I think the colors were perfect for this project. I love how the pinks and browns go together so nicely. I stamped my sentiment directly onto the patterned paper and added it to the front.
I used some of my matching papers to simply decorate the inside of the card too. I love the flowers on the ribbon and in the patterned paper I used. This card would be perfect to enter in the May Flower Challenge on the Crafter's Companion USA Challenge Blog this month.     I hope to see your flower projects over there this month!!  (Shameless begging!! LOL )

Thanks for stopping by today!!
