Busy Scrapper

I have been a scrapping fool this weekend so far. I finished up altering this peanut tin. I made it into a little catch-all for my scrapping space. I really love it. It is perfect for stashing my glues and Stickles. (you can't see them because they are short. ha)
I used Tim Holtz paper and some white Prima flowers that I inked with Ranger inks and then spritzed with bronze glimmer mist. Added a button from my stash of buttons and a bit of twine tied off.
I really liked it fine before I added the flower but thought it would look to plain to enter in a contest that way!! LOL I entered it into this months Altered Item Challenge at Sketches4you.
Also, the Sketch A Thon (SAT) is still going on at Sketches4you and since I have been traveling so much lately I haven't gotten to do many of the sketches. (there is a new one posted every other day until the end of the month!)
So I made up for it yesterday. I did 4 layouts, 2 cards, 1 tag and then finished up this tin. So busy busy busy...
The layout I am going to show you is for the SAT Sketch #2. And I am combining it with the Compendium of Curiosities challenge at http://studiol3.blogspot.com/2010/09/compendium-of-curiosities-week-14.html StudioL3. This weeks challenge was to do masking. And I also entered it in the Distressing Challenge at http://abc-challenge.blogspot.com/2010/09/d-is-for.html ABC Challenge Blog.
The SAT requires you to use the Back to School or Fall theme.
I used one of the cute crocheted flowers that my mom made for me. I keep "saving" them...and I now have a ton of them to use...so I guess I should be using them instead of saving them! LOL
Well, I need to run take my boys for a haircut....picture day tomorrow... Have a good Sunday.

  1. Stacy, you've been a busy lady, and everything you made is fabulous! I've SO got to get one of those peanut tins and alter it-- what a great little catch-all!

Your CCC piece is awesome! The masked flourishes look great, and the photos and layout are so wonderful. It's a lovely homage to Fall Fundraising, and a keepsake you'll always love. Great job!
