Hi everyone! I'm back... ha I have actually gotten my scrappy mojo back....yeah!! But I'm still dragging my behind on getting back to blogging my projects. I am getting there but I'm being a bit slow so today I will be sharing 3 projects! Let's get started...
One of the reasons I have my mojo back is that I found a new local scrappy friend! The amazing thing is the way I found her. My daughter brought home a birthday invitation and it said to RSVP to Rochelle Spears. When I read the name I went, "wait a minute!" "Rochelle Spears?!" Could this be
Rochelle Spears Scrapbooking that I know online??! I went all "fan girlie" for a minute!! LOL
So I rushed to Facebook to check if my online friend was in fact the mother of a child in my child's class!! And can you believe it? She was/is! So I emailed her to RSVP and tried to play it cool so that she didn't think I was a crazy stalker! ROTF At the party we talked scrapping as much as we could and then made a "play (scrap) date". And the amazingly wonderful thing is that when we got together it was effortless and it just seemed like we already knew each other. And we had a fun scrapping together. We have already gotten together twice and plan to do it again next week. (and again and again!) I am thrilled to bits to have made friends with Rochelle.
I have made 3 layouts and 1 card during our scrapping time. I'm sharing some of them here today in addition to one other layout I made.
The first layout I'm sharing I made for the challenge at
Scrap Our Stash. The sketch is by Rochelle and it was super fun to scrap. You are required to make your own background w/cardstock, stencils and/or mask and a medium i.e. paint, ink etc.
I used white cardstock and a fun stencil for my background. I used Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Chartreuse to spray my stencil and then I dripped Primrose and Teal Color Shine on top of the paper too. Then I inked the edges of the paper with my Ranger Distress pad in Peeled Paint. The photos are some that I took on Mother's day. I'm entering this in the number challenge at
Making Today Better Than Yesterday.

Another close up.
My next layout is for the May 1st sketch challenge at
Sketch N Scrap. I decided to scrap some photos of my son and his friend that I took while they were working on a cooking project for their World Geography class. I used papers from the Bo Bunny - Our Lil' Monster collection.
My layout.
A close up.
The next thing to share is another watercolor card. While Rochelle was here the first time, I showed her how to do the watercolor technique that I used to make the two watercolor cards I recently posted (last two posts). Afterwards I had this pretty watercolored square just sitting on my desk so I had to make it into a card. And of course I had to share it too. lol
The stamp is from Hero Arts - Big Ticket stamp set. I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine onyx black pigment ink.
So that's all from me for today. Thanks for sticking around and reading this LONG post! ha Until next time...happy scrapping!
