Our Romantic Adventure LOAD219 Day 10

Hello friends!

Day 10 is here!!  10 for 10!  WOOT WOOT!  I'm LOVING LOAD219 (Layout a day) challenge!!  So much fun.  I love being held accountable to do a layout a day.  Even if I'm not feeling it my whole family is giving me positive energy and good ideas and support.  Today's prompt was to scrap an adventure and to use yellow and maybe even some bricks.

I struggled with this layout.  I actually decided to do the Freaky Fast Friday challenge at The ScrapRoom.  That challenge is to use specific sizes of papers on a layout (only those pieces).  I struggled because this month there were only 5 pieces and they weren't very big and my layout seems so plain to me but I like how the brick came out.  I used a stencil and distress oxide inks to make it.

It's not my favorite but it's okay and tells my story.

Thanks for visiting today.  Hope to see you here again soon.  If you have a chance, I would love for you to check out my Scrappy Friends Challenge this month and maybe play along!  There is a fab prize for a randomly drawn winner!!

Until next time...happy scrapping!

Good Stuff LOAD219 Day 9

Hello Friends!

Are you ready for another layout from me??  I have Day 9 from LOAD219 (layout a day) to share with you.  Today we were given the prompts to scrap about something good and/or use pink glittery  stuff on my layout.

I scrapped about these noodles from Japan that my daughter asked me to get her for Christmas.  She made lovely ramen bowl and was so proud of herself.  I also used pink glittery alphas for my title.

It turned out okay.  I'm 9 for 9 so far so, go me!! (smile)

Thanks for visiting today.  Hope to see you here again soon.  If you have a chance, I would love for you to check out my Scrappy Friends Challenge this month and maybe play along!  There is a fab prize for a randomly drawn winner!!

Until next time...happy scrapping!

She Said Yes to Sadies! LOAD219 Day 8

Hello guys!

What's up?  I have Day 8 scrapped of the LOAD219 challenge.  Our prompts today were to scrap a celebration and/or use small embellishments on your layout.  I scrapped about my daughter getting asked to a dance and I used some small embellishments on the layout.

I recommend doing the LOAD challenge.  It is really a blast to do and a fun way to get a bunch of layouts done.

Thanks for visiting today.  Hope to see you here again soon.  If you have a chance, I would love for you to check out my Scrappy Friends Challenge this month and maybe play along!  There is a fab prize for a randomly drawn winner!!

You Rock LOAD219 Day 7

Welcome!!

I have a new layout for you today that I made for Day 7 of the LOAD219 (layout a day) challenge over at Scraphappy.  Our prompts today were to scrap about a favorite wardrobe item and/or use red and sparkle on your page.
I actually scrapped a story about how I'm a member of Stitch Fix (a company that sends out personally curated clothes and accessories monthly) and how they sent me a shirt one month that I really loved and that my new puppy, Honey, immediately chewed a hole in it.  I asked them to send it to me again and a few weeks later I got an unscheduled box with dogs toys in it and a note from them telling me that they wanted to give Honey something else to chew on instead of my new clothes!  How's that for great customer service??  It was so unexpected and sweet and I got the shirt again in my next monthly box.

This was a fun layout to do.  I like it.  I hope you do too.  Look at the photos of that little menace! lol She's a joy too.

Thanks for visiting today.  Hope to see you here again soon.  If you have a chance, I would love for you to check out my Scrappy Friends Challenge this month and maybe play along!  There is a fab prize for a randomly drawn winner!!

Until next time...happy scrapping!

Scrap Our Stash Pick Your Side Challenge

Welcome to the blog!

Today I have a layout to share that I was inspired to make by using the February  Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash.  I picked the sketch on the left and changed the 3 small photos to one large photo.  I also used the required striped paper and mixed alphas.

Here is the layout I made:

My goddaughter and her family having a movie night.  Those are the good memories to keep.

You need to go over to Scrap Our Stash and check out this challenge and their other challenge this month.  Let's be scrappy together!

Thanks for stopping and looking today!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

Back To Taiwan LOAD219 Day 6

Welcome Friends!!

Here we go again today with a another layout from the LOAD 219 (layout a day) challenge(Day 6) that I am doing this month.  The prompts for today are to scrap about a time you felt out of your element and/or  do an artistic technique on your layout.  I scrapped about when we were in Taiwan adopting our son and I made the watercolor background paper using Distress Oxide inks.

I really love the background paper.  It got a little out of control and filled most of the page which wasn't my initial plan but I still love it.

Thanks for visiting today.  Hope to see you here again soon.  If you have a chance, I would love for you to check out my Scrappy Friends Challenge this month and maybe play along!  There is a
fab prize for a randomly drawn winner!!

Until next time...happy scrapping!

Twist and Spin LOAD219 Day 5

Hello friends!

I'm back here today with Day 5 of LOAD219.  I'm so happy to be doing this layout a day challenge!  It's been super fun so far and I haven't missed a day yet.  (fingers crossed) Today's prompts are to scrap a story with a twist and/or use doodles on your layout.

I used that prompt literally.  My goddaughter's daughter is actually spinning in the photos I chose to scrap.  I also doodled on the page a bit.

I'm happy with this one.  How about you?  Like it?

Don't you just love this paper?!  I think it's dreamy.  (smile)

Thanks for visiting today.  Hope to see you here again soon.  If you have a chance, I would love for you to check out my Scrappy Friends Challenge this month and maybe play along!  There is a fab prize for a randomly drawn winner!!

Until next time...happy scrapping!

My Happy Place #LOAD219 Day 4

Hey peeps!

Hello again.  I'm here today with LOAD219 Day 4.  Today's prompt was to scrap a place you like to hang out and/or use multiple layers of patterned paper on your layout.

This one came together really quickly and easily.  I immediately knew I would use a photo of my scrap room.  I did a zoomed in shot because my room was a mess but then I took a photo from the doorway that showed it in all its glory and I printed it small and adhered it on that tag that I have hidden under the photo.

The really funny thing is that my friend, Rochelle, who is also doing this challenge, also scrapped her craft room and we both used the exact same title! lol

I'm really loving doing LOAD219!  I can totally see myself doing it again.

Thanks for visiting today.  Hope to see you here again soon.  If you have a chance, I would love for you to check out my Scrappy Friends Challenge this month and maybe play along!  There is a fab prize for a randomly drawn winner!!

Until next time...happy scrapping!

I Am Enough LOAD219 Day 3

Hello friends!

Nice to have you visiting today.  I have been hard at work doing the LOAD219 (layout a day) over at Scraphappy.  I'm keeping up so far!!  Here is Day 3. The prompts today are to scrap a big softie in your life and/or use a soft scrapbook supply on your layout.

I actually changed part of the title from, "I am strong and I am soft" to "I am soft but I am strong".  I think that works better.  I didn't take a 2nd photo though.

I'm really happy how it turned out.  That's the thing about doing a layout a day, I'm not always thrilled with the finished product.  They are good but not always favorites.

Thanks for visiting today.  Hope to see you here again soon.  If you have a chance, I would love for you to check out my Scrappy Friends Challenge this month and maybe play along!  There is a fab prize for a randomly drawn winner!!

Until next time...happy scrapping!

Together is the Best Place to Be

Hello my people!!

Welcome back to the blog today...consecutive blogging day #9!  woo hoo!  I'm on a roll!! lol

Since I posted a layout of a my brother yesterday it is only fair to post one of my sister (and her son) today.  Right?  (smile)

I again used a Laura Whitaker sketch (LOVE) to inspired me.  I went a little out of my comfort zone with the papers I used.  I don't usually use so many different patterns together but I honestly love how it turned out!

The photo was taken at my house on Christmas.  I always host Christmas lunch at my house.  I just love having all the family come for the holidays.  We had a really full house this year!  Yay!  Crazy but fun.

I'm glad you stopped by today.  Until next time...happy scrapping!

A Boy and His Dog

Welcome back!

I'm sharing a layout of my brother and his dog.  I started with a Laura Whitaker sketch again.  LOVE HER SKETCHES!

My brother is a sweetheart and he loves his dog, Abby so much.  This photo was taken at our house over the Christmas break.  I can rarely get him to smile for me or even look at the camera so I was happy when I got this photo of him.  I'm a lucky sister!

I'm glad you came over to look today.  Until next time...happy scrapping!

Scrappy Freezin Friends

Hello guys!

OMGosh I'm on my 8th consecutive blog post!  Can you believe it??  Today I'm going to share a layout I made at the Scrap Society Beauty and the Beast crop that I went to recently.

The photos are of my friend, Rochelle, and I scrapping before Christmas at my house and it was super cold outside.  We are being silly in the photos.

I basically just used left over scraps that I had sitting around to make the layout after using this collection on another page.

I'm happy with it.  Thanks for coming over here today and checking things out!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

Merry Christmas 2018

Hello scrappy peeps!

Welcome back to my blog today.  I am going to share a Christmas layout that I made of my goddaughter's kids on Christmas morning.  They are having more fun with the wrapping paper than the actual presents!  Typical, right??

I used a Laura Whitaker sketch to start and I turned it on it's side.  I really love her sketches and I'm so sad she stopped doing her challenge blog.

I'm LOVING this paper so much!!  It just makes me happy, as do these photos!!  I used some clears word stickers around the page and really love the feel it creates.

What do you think?  Like it??  Did you get many layouts made over the holidays??  I never get anything done in December but I'm happy to work on things in January and November. (I'm not sure why I typed them out of order..?) (eye roll)

Thanks for stopping and looking today!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

LOAD219 Day 2

Hi people!

I promised to post LOAD219 Day 2 yesterday but I forgot I had already typed up a blog post for yesterday.  Sorry!  Here is LOAD219 Day 2.

This photo is very poorly edited and cropped...sorry.  I just couldn't get it straight today.  The prompt was to either use black and white papers and a color photo or vice versa.  I used black and white photos and a colorful background.  The other prompt was to scrap something that surprised you.

I literally used scraps of paper that were on my desk to make this layout.  I'm not sure how much I love it but it will do.  I like that the colors are bright and happy which went well with the photos I chose of my kids being silly.

I'm typing this up a few days earlier than it is going live and I'm sitting here waiting for 2 more hours for LOAD219 Day 3 to be emailed to me.  Can't wait!!

I hope you liked this layout I made and that you come back tomorrow for another blog post from me!

Until next time...happy scrapping!

LOAD Day 1

Hello Friends!
I have decided to do the LOAD (Layout A Day) challenge over at Scraphappy during the month of February.  (LOAD219)

Here is Day 1.

Everyday we are given two prompts and this prompt was to scrap a Dream Come True and/or use rainbow colors on your layout.  I scrapped a Dream Come True.  I actually started off doing a rainbow page but didn't really like the direction it was going so changed over to using the Dream Come True prompt.

I always wanted to be a mother and it is a dream come true to have these 5 beautiful children!

I like how the page came out and I'm excited to be doing the LOAD219 challenge.  I hope I get all 28 pages done this month.  I've done day 1 and 2 already (it's day 2 right now) and the day 3 prompt will show up at 9pm PST tonight.  I can't wait to see what it is!!

I'll share the layout I made for day 2 tomorrow.  Hope to see you here for that.

Until next time...happy scrapping!

Best Present Ever!

Hi guys!

Welcome back to the blog!  Look at me blogging again!!  (smile)  I was at a crop last weekend and made 16 layouts.  I'm not the fastest scrapper but I was feeling pretty good about that number.  I actually made myself a bunch of kits with paper, embellishments, photos and sketches!  So that made it much easier to get this much done.

Here is one I made using a Laura Whitaker sketch.  I love her sketches!!

The layout is about my dog, Frannie, that I got for Christmas in 2017.  She is such a sweet, loving dog.  She has these big ears and she literally hops across our yard.  We should have named her Bunny!! lol  She's the BEST PRESENT EVER!!  I tell her that all the time!

I think this Bo Bunny Collection with bunnies on it was just the most perfect paper!

I hope you like it too!

Thanks for coming by here today.  Until next time...happy scrapping!

The ScrapRoom February Jump Start Challenge

Hello everyone!

I'm back!  I told you I was planning to post more...  Today I have made a layout, well I didn't make it today, I made it last weekend but I'm posting it today.  Anyway, I was inspired by the February Jump Start Sketch over at The ScrapRoom.  I LOVE my kits I get from the ScrapRoom and the fun challenges over there too!!

The inspiration was a sketch challenge.  Look at this beauty by Rochelle Spears!

Here is my layout:

This is a photo of my son and one of our dogs driving to Oklahoma from Nevada.  I don't use a lot of travel themed patterned paper so it was nice to use this fun collection.

You should go check out the fun challenges at The ScrapRoom.  You don't have to be a kit subscriber to participate but the kits are yummy and affordable so take a look while you are there! (wink, wink)

Thanks for dropping in to see me today.  Until next time...happy scrapping!

Saturday Morning Cartoon - Scrap Our Stash

Hello guys!

I've been scrapping a lot lately and am going to try to post them on my blog more regularly....what??  lol  I know.  That sounds like crazy talk right?  Well, here goes...

I made a layout using the Saturday Morning Cartoon Inspired Stash Challenge at Scrap Our Stash.  That's quite a mouthful, isn't it?  It has a long name and it's fun challenge.

I was required to be inspired by the Popeye and Olivia cartoon and use the sketch and I needed to either use heart paper or use 3 hearts on my layout.  I used heart paper and was inspired by the "love" I saw in the cartoon.

Here is a layout of me and my sweet, Christmas present, Frannie, giving me a smooch.

The photo of the layout is a bit wacky.  It looks like I didn't crop the bottom very well but there is a piece of washi tape down there that sort of fades away but looks good in real life.

Anyhoo, here you go.  Layout posted!  Prepare for more because I am doing the LOAD219 Challenge   at Scraphappy and my plan is to try to do a layout a day for the whole month of February!  2 down!  And this isn't even one of them!

Thanks for visiting today.  Hope to see you here again soon.  If you have a chance, I would love for you to check out my Scrappy Friends Challenge this month and maybe play along!  There is a fab prize for a randomly drawn winner!!

Until next time...happy scrapping!
