Deck The Halls

Happy December!

This year has flown by, hasn't it?  It's hard to believe the year is almost over.  I hope your 2017 was a good one!

Now to my project.  Here is the layout I made using the newest sketch challenge at Sketches in Thyme.

The photo is of my dad and his brother with their dad on Christmas.  I love getting to see photos like this where you can see furnishings and holiday decorations.  I tell myself that I need to include stuff in the background instead of zooming in and only doing close ups.  How about you?  Do you include  "the details"?

Go over to Sketches in Thyme and check out the challenges this month!  Be inspired by all of the designers!

Thanks for stopping and looking here today.  Until next time...happy scrapping!

Picture Perfect

Welcome to the blog today!

I made this layout at a crop in October.  I was inspired by the Freaky Fast Friday challenge in October at The Scraproom.  I forgot to post it but that isn't anything unusual! lol  I still am happy I was inspired to make it.

I used my Flavors of the Month kit from the Scraproom.  It worked so perfectly with this photo.  I love the bright happy colors and the fun embellies that came in the kit.

Go check out this months Freaky Fast Friday challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Until next time...happy scrapping!'

Give Thanks

Hi peeps!

I'm back yet again today!!  Look at me go... I have a double page layout to share.  I was inspired by 3 different challenges!  I used a sketch from Stuck Sketches for one of the pages.  I used the mood board from Challenge YOUrself blog.  You have to include yourself on your layout which I did and I was inspired by the fall colors and leaves on the mood board.  And I did the Tic Tac Toe challenge at Scrap Our Stash.  I used the diagonal starting from the upper right side - the color brown, fall theme and echo park.

These photos are from the Give Thanks Scrap Society crop my friends, The Design Divas and I went to at the beginning of November.  We had a such a fun time!  I love getting together with my scrappy friends!

I hope you enjoyed these layouts and are maybe inspired to join in on any or all of these challenges.

Thanks for visiting!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

War Eagle Week

Welcome!

I'm back today with another layout.  I was inspired to make this one from Awesome Adventure  challenge at the 123 Challenge Blog.  You are required to use 1 sketch, 2 words and 3 colors.  The colors were green, blue and grey and the words are Awesome and Adventure.  The sketch was super cool!  Here is what I was inspired to create...

I have an annual tradition of going with my Mom and Aunt for a week long trip to Arkansas in October.  We have been going for about 30 years.  The week we go there are tons of craft festivals.  We hit up the craft festivals, flea markets and antique stores.  We take my RV and camp and just have a fun girl trip.  My mom passed away but my 88 year old aunt and I are still going.  These photos are from our trip this year.  We totally lucked out and got a lake front parking spot for the RV!  It was gorgeous!!  We had a great trip and I'm happy to get to scrap the memory.

I hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by and checking things out here today.

Until next time...happy scrapping!!

Adorable Dancer

Hello friends!

What's up with you?  I sitting here trying to get a bunch of blog posts typed up.  I went to a crop and got several layouts made.  Now I need to get them posted and entered into challenges.  Lets start with this layout I made for the Scrappy Friends Challenges.

There was the Rewind Sketch challenge from Brenda and the Word Art Inspiration board challenge from Rochelle.  The word I was inspired by was Thankful.

I love the movement in the photos from her dancing.  I love that girl so much!  The sketch was fun and I am happy that I used the word art inspiration for something besides "fall".  Go join in the Scrappy Friends Challenges!!

Welcome to the blog!

I'm here today with a layout I made for the newest sketch challenge at Sketches in Thyme.  I LOVE their sketch challenges.  I'm always inspired to scrap.  You should go join in the fun too!

I'm the worst layout photographer!  I can never get my photos straight and I am apparently not a very good editor either.  So just imagine this with a nice pink border around it...  (deep sigh)

Don't let my bad photography stop you from heading over to Sketches in Thyme and being inspired yourself!

I love this paper from my Flavors of the Month club at The Scraproom!!!  The rose gold is so pretty!  Perfect paper for my sweet girls in the photo.  The photo is of two of my dogs.  The one with the big ears is Frannie and the other one is Bella.  They are best buddies and so fun to watch play together.

Cake Pop

Hello Peeps!  What's up!?

I have a fun layout to share today of my goddaughter's child.  She was on a pretty long road trip with her mom and baby brother.  Baby brother started melting down so mom decided to give them all a bit of a break.  They got lovely cake pops.  After this break the trip went more smoothly.

I love the rose gold colors of these papers I got in my Flavors of the Month club kit from The Scraproom!!  GORGEOUSNESS!

I was inspired by the Sketch + Word challenge at Scrap Our Stash this month.  The word is LEARN.  I used L - letter stickers , E - enamel dots, A -arrow , R - rhinestones , N - numbers.

You should hurry up if you want to join in on this challenge because it ends soon!

Thanks for dropping by today!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

Feeling Crafty!

Hi guys!

Happy Wednesday!  I'm excited to say I made a card today!  Woo Hoo!!  I haven't been feeling very crafty lately.  It might have something to do with how trashed my scrap room has been.  But yesterday I cleaned off my desk and magically today I'm feeling crafty! ha

I am taking the newest class at Online Card Classes, Rainbow Maker, and I was inspired to make this card today!  I LOVE Online Card Classes!!  I've literally taken every one of their classes and even if you aren't a card maker, you can learn so many cool techniques to use on your mixed media projects or layouts etc.  And they are very reasonably priced.

What do you think?  It's pretty sunny here so it was a bit hard to take a good photo but I couldn't wait to share it with you!

Sail Away

Hi people!

This layout just shows how sometimes things just come together .  I got these 3 patterned papers at a crop and just started putting together a layout even without having photos in mind.  I put it aside and then a couple of weeks later I got these photos and thought they would be perfect!

I did a bit of hand stitching and added a few embellishments and the big white title.  And voila...

Thanks for stopping by today!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

Glamorous Camping

Hello people!

Be prepared to be shocked and awed!  I made a double layout! WHAT?!!  Yes, I lost my mind and made a double layout.  lol  I never make double layouts but it just seemed to work for what I wanted to do.

My scrapping buddies, The Design Divas, and I went to the May Scrap Society 3 day Glamping Crop a week ago and it was a blast!!  I had to do a double page layout just to capture more of the fun.

I took two sketch challenges from Sketch and Scrap and combined them to make this double come to life.

I turned one of the sketches on it's side and then scooted stuff over to make them flow together better.

I think it turned out great! What do you think??

I need to rush.  I have a meeting at my kid's school and need to get ready.  Thanks for stopping and looking today.  Until next time...happy scrapping!

Egg Hunt

Hello friends!

How about a fun Easter layout?  I made this layout for the Tic Tac Toe challenge at Scrap Our Stash.  I used a journal card, the color yellow and 3 patterned papers.  I love watching the joy on the face of little kids when they hunt for eggs!

I fussy cut the bunnies out because I just thought they were so cute!

Thanks for stopping and checking out my blog!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

I really like how this one turned out!  I love this fun photo of my goddaughter and I love how well the colors came together.  Sometimes things just come together right?

Hi guys!

How's your weekend going?  We are being lazy around here this weekend.  We have mostly just swam in the pool, read, done homework and played video games.  I'm here today to share this layout I made for the Scrappy Friends challenge this month.   Brenda has the sketch challenge at GrandDiva's Creative Corner and Rochelle at Through the Eye's of Rochelle Spears has the 1, 2, 3 challenge.  For the 1, 2, 3 challenge, I fussy cut the elephant, I used 2 border punches and only 3 pattern papers.

I love these sweet photos and the pops of gold on here.  What do you think?

Here's a layout I made at a crop I went to with my friends, The Design Divas.  Its another baby layout just because I can...lol  Look how sweet that baby is!!!  You just want to eat him up right?

Today I am going on a field trip to SeaWorld with my son.  It is an overnight trip and I won't get home until late tomorrow.  We get to sleep in an exhibit and get a special tour of the park after it closes.  It is a great trip!  I've done it 3 times before!

Precious Baby

Hello and welcome!

Here is my Precious Baby layout that I made.  It is of my goddaughter's new baby and her husband sleeping at the hospital right after he was born. They look exhausted don't they?  For some reason I can't get the layout to photograph very well.  Sorry.

I fussy cut the word baby from one of the patterned papers and just had to add that rabbit embellishment because it was just too darn cute!  I left this one pretty clean and simple.

I'm glad you dropped by and checked things out today!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

I'm back to share this layout I made that DOESN'T have a baby on it! lol  I bet you think that I only scrap baby photos!  Well not for this layout.  This one is of my sister and her granddaughter.  I was inspired by a sketch challenge but didn't get it posted in time.  (the story of life)

I hope you are having a nice Monday.  I'm trying to get things ready for the field trip I going on with my son, Riley.  We leave for Sea World on Wednesday.  It's a fun trip and we get to spend the night in one of the exhibits.  I've gone with the 3 older kids and each trip was a blast!

Xmas Traditions

Hey friends,

Remember how I'm always forgetting to post my layouts to their appropriate challenge sites?  Well guess what?  Here's another one that I made and didn't get blogged and posted in time.  I think it is a cool layout so I'm going to share it with you here today.

I always get my kids matching pajamas to wear Christmas Eve.  This year I kind of went a bit crazy and got some wacky ones.  They were good sports and wore them but I don't think they liked them  too much.  But don't they look cute!?

I didn't get this photographed very well...  It's really nice in person.

Thanks for dropping by today!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

Scrap Society's Dark Side of Disney Crop

Hello guys!

I thought today would be a great time to post this layout I made about the last Scrap Society crop I went to with my BFF, Denise since we are going to another one today.  This crop was called Dark Side of Disney and it was so fun!!  It was a 3 day crop and there were games, decorations, costumes and prizes.  I love Scrap Society!

I must tell you that I totally scrap lifted this layout from Denise who made one almost identical first.  Actually all of the girls copied Denise's layout! lol

The only negative thing about this crop was that I fell spectacularly and hurt my knee, elbow and shoulder.  Most of my injuries have healed but I'm still working on that shoulder....(sad face here)  I'm a total klutz!  LOL

Hopefully nothing happens like that at this one!

Thanks for stopping and looking!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

My Frannie

Hi people!

Here's a layout I made for another challenge I missed the deadline on....lol  It is a layout using photos of the best Christmas present ever!  My new puppy, Frannie!  She was a total surprise from my husband and she is a hoot!  She's a miniature schnauzer.  We have two other miniature schnauzers.  One of them LOVES her and the other one just tolerates her.  (smile)

My BFF, Denise arrives tonight!!  I'm so excited!  I need to finish packing for the crop we are going to tomorrow.  My son, Jesse, has a lacrosse game tonight and Denise's birthday is tomorrow.  Not sure when I'm fitting it all in! lol

Glad you could come by and look around today!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

Love You to the Moon

Hi there people!

I made this layout for the March Sketch challenge at Scrap Our Stash.  However I didn't get it posted in time.  (insert sad face here) But that doesn't mean I don't love the layout and that I wasn't super inspired by the challenge!  It just means I'm a bit slow...lol    Anyway, here it is:

It's prettier in person.  Really!  The papers don't photograph well.

I'm pretty excited about this coming weekend!  My BFF, Denise is coming to visit to celebrate her birthday.  We are going to go to the Scrap Society Neon Daisy Carnival Crop on Saturday.  I can't wait!!

Thanks for visiting today!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

You and Me -Scrappy Friends Challenge

Hello there!

I must tell you that I am the WORST at getting layouts posted on my blog and then uploaded to the appropriate challenges in time! The absolute worst!  I have been having problems getting on my blog as I have mentioned before. It is a long drawn out story that you don't really want to hear believe me. I've been trying all day to get on here so I could post some layouts and I FINALLY got on! (yay me!) Anyway, the first layout I tried to post is (of course) too late.  BUT I'm excited to say that I think the Scrappy Friends challenge that I did is still OPEN!

The sketch challenge is from Brenda at Grand Divas Creative Corner and the Bingo challenge is from Rochelle's blog, Through the Eyes of Rochelle Spears.  I completed the vertical B row - Border Punch, Green, Ink, Chipboard Shape and Twine on the bingo card.

I love how this turned out!  That photo is so sweet it's giving me a cavity! lol  I am having so much fun scrapping all these baby photos from my goddaughter!!

Okay, I'm going to make this short and sweet so I can maybe get it added to the challenge in time!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Until next time...happy scrapping!

Sketches in Thyme January 2017

Welcome to 2017!

I'm excited to be back here in 2017.  I have been having trouble logging onto my blog.  For some reason it keeps my son logged in and doesn't let me log in.  So I'm a bit behind on things.  Surprisingly today I was commenting on my friend, Denise's blog http://www.Lalasworld.blogspot.com and when I tried to log onto my gmail account, it let me!  Yay!  So, I rushed back to my blog and here I am writing a post!  lol

Let's start with the new year...have any of you made any resolutions?  I made the same one I make every year...move more, eat less.  So far I'm moving more.  Not sure about the eating less though! lol I'm taking it step by step, literally!  I got the fitbit flex 2 and I've started walking 10,000 steps each day again.

 Pretty right?

I've been doing really well so far.  My kids are helping out by encouraging me to take walks with them and I try to get in laps around my pool. (walking laps around the outside edge) (Not in the water) That sounds weird but it works for me.  However it has been chilly here in Henderson. It was 33 degrees here yesterday which made walking outside a challenge.  I did it though!! Woot!  I had my 10,000 steps done before the kids got home from school.

How about you?  Anything exciting to share?  I would love to hear from you!

Now let me share a layout I made for the first sketch challenge this month over at Sketches in Thyme:

The paper is from the December Flavor of the Month Club kit over at The Scrap Room.  I'm obsessed with Christmas papers so I have to confess I used this same kit for my December layout for Sketches in Thyme too.

I was a bit challenged taking the photo.

You should head over to Sketches in Thyme and check out the sketch challenges there this month.  You can enter as often as you want for the one prize given away each month.

Okay, enough from me....I heading off to walk a bit more.

Thanks for stopping by and looking.  Until next time...happy scrapping!
