GIVEAWAY and Pinched Flower Tutorial

I think you need to go to the Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog and check out my Bi Fold Mini Book!! I really think it turned out pretty. It is very feminine and sweet.

I used Basic Grey Olivia papers and some ribbon, buckle and bling from my stash.

I made the flower on the front. I really love how it turned out. What do you think??

Here is a picture of it ....you have to go to CCC to see the whole project! ha (I'm a tease)

Have you made any flowers like this one?? How about a little tutorial on them??

First I took my 1 1/2 inch punch and punched out 8 circles.

Then I set one circle aside. I took the remaining 7 and I sort of pinched them (sort of like an accordion fold).

I glued the pinched edges together. I used Beacon's 3 in 1 Craft Glue but you could use a hot glue gun or whatever glue you like best.

Take the punched circle you put aside and fold it in half and then open it and fold it it half the opposite way. This will help you find the center (I marked it with a black marker in the photo) and will help you arrange the "petals".

Next you just glue each of the pinched circles (our petals) on to the flat circle.

I used my ATG gun to put double-side tape on the circle. This helped get the petals started and then I added some more of the Beacons glue as it was needed.

I finished it off with some bling in the center. You could add buttons, brads or punch flowers to the center. Whatever works best with your project.

Go check out my Mini Book! And then leave me a comment and let me know how you like it!
