I took Georgia to the surgeon today and he said she definitely has to have surgery to have it set and pins put in it. He has her scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 9am. He originally had it scheduled for 2:45pm and I was really worried about how I was going to keep her from eating or drinking that long. I guess when I said something about it to the nurse she must have said something to him because I got a call a couple of hours later saying the time had been changed to 9am. I'm so much happier about that!
We have to be there at 7am. I am going to take her and my hubby will stay home with the other kids. She is doing really well. She is a tough little girl. They had to take off her old splint and put on a fancy new one. It is much nicer and she wanted me to take photos. I hope you laugh at the last photo because I sure did.
I wanted to thank everyone for all the sweet comments that were left yesterday. I really do appreciate them.
Hugs!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a brave little girl your daughter is! Will be thinking of both of you tomorrow morning. She looks adorable in the new splint, that I swear is almost as big as she is! Please tell her that we all liked her pictures!

Awww, SO brave! So happy they made it earlier, just get it over with! My daughter broke her arm on her birthday while doing a cartwheel!! Of course 2 minutes before her huge B-day Party. She needed surgery and pins and everything went just fine! Now she will always have the Craziest B-day Story to tell!

ReplyDeleteShe's so cute! I'm glad that you're both feeling better. You're right, she's a tough little girl! She looks like she's having fun with that cast! She's getting so big! I just noticed how much she has grown since I started reading your blog. Thanks for sharing with us :)
ReplyDeleteOh so sad....give lots of kisses and hugs...that always seems to make things better. Wishing her a speedy recovery...www.justwordz.ca
ReplyDeletePlease let us know when you get a chance about how she is recovering after the surgery. Nothing worse for a mom than to know her little one is hurting and there isn't anything you can do to change it. Just take comfort in the fact that kids heal so much faster than we do and she won't remember much of it when she gets older. Hope your weekend gets better. Pam N.
ReplyDeleteAww poor baby! She is so cute. And I know you must be a nervous wreck, I know I was when my 2 year old had his eye surgery a month ago, but they are little and they recover very quick. She will be just fine. And please let us know how the surgery goes. I hope you both feel better soon :)
ReplyDeleteI hope the surgery went well today. I'm praying for a quick and complete mend. ~ Blessings
