I made a layout yesterday for a DT so can't show it yet but I did make a strange card with the scraps and I used a Sketches in Thyme sketch and am entering it in their challenge.
It is kind of pretty in person but the pictures sure looks odd to me! lol
This sketch is Sketches in Thyme's Tuesdays Take #7. I like the sketch. As you can tell I turned the card on it's side. Not really on purpose but I was working on it and cutting paper and then realized I had cut the paper for a horizontal card...oh well...
I used We R Memory Keepers "White Out" paper -Nonsense-Ding Dong, Nonsense-Splish Splash and Nonsense-Drip Drop. I used a coordinating Nonsense chip board embellie. And a little crystal Stickles. And a little ribbon from my stash. And finally I used a Martha Stewart punch...yum....love her punches. I sure wish they were cheaper.
I'm not sure if you can read the sentiment. It says Thinking Of You.
Here is my 3rd card made with scrap from a layout!! Woo hoo...aren't you so proud of me?? (I sure hope they start getting prettier!! LOL)
Nothing super interesting to report yet today. Although I did get out the Basic Grey Calendar kit I got at CKC in Seattle. I decided to do the January page and go ahead and hang it. I will probably try to do one page a month. (unless I get carried away! ha)
I think it turned out cute. I used a picture from Christmas Eve. I had to change the title because it didn't work with the picture I wanted to use but luckily I had this cute We R Memory Keepers -Nonsense chipboard word that worked perfectly. And I also used some crystal Stickles on it. Because I feel you can never have too much sparkle.
I was reading some blogs yesterday and found some really good ideas at Write. Click. Scrapbook.
You should go check them out.
I am thinking of doing the one where you take 12 pictures a month and at the end of the month you make 1 layout with them. Do this every month and then you will have a "Year in Review".
I think I will try that this month and see if I can make it happen. Want to do it with me?? And then link your creations to my blog so I can go and enjoy them??
Question of the day...Do you watch TV? And if you do, what is your favorite show??
I like this card - in a good way it is different than a lot of cards I see. Fabulous job! I don't watch too much TV - I tend to watch shows on the Food Network or HGTV.
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy, love the layout and card. Sorry for the short comment, lack of time! Hugs, Frea
ReplyDeleteOhhh, it totally turned out great! So beautiful!!! Love the colors on both!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of scraps... So I have been sorting all my papers and realized that a whole pile of scrap colored card stock was missing! I think I accidentally threw it away while I was cleaning! I do not watch TV! The only show I ever watch is MadMen and they aren't on right now!
ReplyDeleteHi, Stacy!! Your LO is so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture with the matching PJs!!
I love how the card turned out very beautiful and love the bling on the paper!!
The only show I watched today was about 5 minutes of imagination movers while dd was on lunch break
Have a wonderful weekend!!
Hugs!!
I love it! I think the papers and colors you chose to go with that paper are PERFECTO!
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy, we just had a lovely day!! We shopped a lot, and then we had a great (litterally!!) Italian meal, and went to the theatre where we saw the musical show. It was great fun. We had such a good time together so we're definitely gonna make this a tradition. Kyra (that's my daughter) had a very good idea; she thought it might be fun to do this twice a year, one time I would arrange everything and and the other time she would and we'd keep it a secret until the day would arrive. Doesn't that sound like fun??
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I have a daughter, (and I do love my son to death) but you just don't do this sort of thing with a son. Well off to bed now, hugs Frea
Love the colors and the bling. A really pretty card. Thank you for taking the time to play with Tuesday Takes @ Sketches In Thyme.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Tanya
I have the same calendar and love it!!
ReplyDeleteI like the 12 pics a month to end up with a year in review. I hope you do it and maybe I'll try too. Hmm, fave shows are Modern Family, Castle, The Office, Private Chefs of Beverly Hills, Cupcake Wars, several HGTV shows and many more on Food Network.
