Riding the Bus!

As you all know, I have five kids. They range in age from 3 to 10. My 5 year old has been riding the bus since last year but none of my other kids have ever ridden the bus....until NOW.

Last week the 3 older kids were approved to ride the bus with Riley. I rushed out and took these pictures so that I could scrap them. And amazingly they all are looking and smiling at the camera!! Can you even believe it??!!

But since I am down with all of these surgeries I haven't had a chance to scrap them sooooo now I have new bus pictures. My littlest started pre-school and goes to their school and now she rides the bus with them too!!

You will notice that they are NOT all looking and smiling in these pictures but what can you do?? lol They are still good enough to scrap!!
She wasn't too thrilled with it to begin with unlike the other kids. She cried the first 2 days. But now she has stopped crying. (thank goodness) She still won't climb the steps into the bus alone yet but I bet she will soon. She just needs to get used to it all.

I'm pretty lucky because the bus comes right to our door and the guard on our front gate calls when it is on it's way!! I remember when I was a kid, I would have to go to the bus stop down the block from our house and leave 30 minutes early and wait out in the weather. (uphill in the snow....lol!! jk) Now I really sound old!! ha

How is the weather where you live?? Anything interesting to talk about?? It is sunny and in the 70s here....(or was when I wrote this pre-scheduled post!! ha) And I am sure I am still lying in bed -bored - recovering..... write me!!

  1. I am so sorry to hear you are out of action Stacy, I am sorry I haven't been around to offer you some prayers and cyber hugs, but I so hope you are feeling better soon.

Your kids are just beautiful, and I can only imagine how hard it must be to get all of them to smile and look at the camera at the same time, I struggle with just Nate....and how wonderful the bus stops so close for them.

Hope you get back to scrapping soon, I miss seeing your stunning layouts and I just love the colours in this gorgeous blog. The buttons look so real and the catterpillar is super cute. Love to you and your family. Melxx

  2. Your kids are ADORABLE! I wanna squeeze that little one!! Heehee!!

Hope you are feeling better...been thinking about you!

Right now, I'm looking out my window at near white-out conditions. It's been coming down HARD here. UGH. SNOW. WINTER. YUCK.

  3. ADORABLE! lol it is always fun trying to get them to smile and look at same time. I have trouble wiht my two. lol so many picture taken to get hte perfect one. I realize earlier on i will never get the perfect one. lol Right now, I am looking out my window and it is snowing. has been since this morning. Hope you feeling better but relax so youcan heal quicker.

  4. I don't think I ever took a picture of Mitch with his bus! It always came to our door, but I remember walking quite a ways to get our bus in the snow, with plastic bread sacks over our feet instead of boots. (haha)

  5. Those photos will be awesome to scrap!!
Not much going on here except its a little chilly so I don't like this weather its been 60 but feels like 53 with the wind!!
IKWYM about bus stops I use to walk to school and when the weather was bad I would have to pay for a bus we did not have bus service unless we paid I think it was 30 per trip!
You know the bus company wws making alot of money off of all the students!!
Hope you have great & restful Thursday!!

  6. Those photos are so cute!! When my little girl first got off the bus on her first day of pre-school I went running out my front door with the video camera and I ran right into a ladder! LOL Someone was fixing an outside light and I never saw it! Good times!
