Wish me luck!!

Okay, today I hopefully flew successfully to Seattle with my friend, Denise and am now in Seattle at our hotel.

Everything at the convention starts tomorrow and we have scheduled 2 classes and some time for shopping. I hope I can sit long enough to enjoy the classes. But even if I don't I know I will be having fun! Just hanging with Denise will be fun. We don't live in the same city so getting to talk in person happens rarely. (even though we talk online every day)

I am posting a card that I made before my surgery. It isn't very good but at least it is something right??!! ha
I actually just recently got a Cuttlebug (yes, I am behind the times....lol) and I wanted to try it out. I have this fun Thank You embossing thing so I tried it out.
It looks a little better in person...
Do you have a Cuttlebug or some similar machine?? If so, do you use it as much as you thought you would??

  3. Have fun!
I have the original sizzix--you can use your embossing folders in it. I use it all of the time. I wish I had a bigger machine though to fit some of the bigger dies...

  5. awesome wish i was in seattle.. (im from wa and my whole family lives there).. I actually got a cuttlebug for my birthday this year in sept.. and I LOVE the thing.. I use it more than i thought i would which is a definite plus. I bough a create your own embossing folder kit from Cricutmachine.com and I havent used it yet.. but the other day i saw a tutorial on how to make your own embossing images.. and its easier and cheaper than buying the kit.. u can cut out anything with your cricut and then turn it into an embossing templet.. pretty cool..

  8. Absolutely! funny thing is, I bought it just to emboss but, with Tim Holtz alteration dies I have now started die cutting with it, which, I believe was it's original intended use, ha! :) You gotta get some of his Texture Fades if you get the chance.

So glad you get some girl time and class time with a good friend---you so deserve it. Hope you are continuing to be well and get better. Have fun and find time to relax!!

  12. I got a Big Shot last year and used it alot in the beginning, but then not so much. I think I got bored or didn't know what new things to do with it. But I am starting to use it a bit more again. I really like it and enjoy being able to cut and emboss with it.

  13. I love my Cuttlebug and use it quite often, most recently by inking it with my brayer first. You can see some pictures on the slide show for my OWH blog hop done yesterday at http://craftroomtransformation.blogspot.com if you click on the slide when it appears you can see it better. The main one with that technique has a 1/4 in red ribbon bow on the heart of the front of the card.

  14. I have a cuttlbut and I Love it. It is so much fun. I use it all the time. I just now started using the sizzex dies to cut with my cuttlebug. I don't know how I lived without it..I also seen a tutorial where you can use some of Tim Holtz dyes in the folder to emboss and now I have to try it.. btw I think your card came out really good. I can't give a card away anymore without cuttlebugging the envelope. I'm glad you made it safe and hope you have loads of fun on your trip.
